Mesa, AZ -- State and federal officials announce the opening of a new Help Center in Heber. The Help Center will open on Wednesday, July 3, in Capps Middle School at 3375 Buckskin Canyon Road. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Help Center at 33 West Vista in Holbrook will be closing at 7 p.m. on July 3, but those who need assistance may visit the following locations or go to the Heber Help Center.

Other centers are open at the following locations.

Recovery teams at the centers are available to answer questions and provide recovery information about various assistance programs. Disaster programs include temporary housing assistance, low-interest disaster loans, individual and family grants, and disaster unemployment insurance. This is also an opportunity for homeowners to receive information about wildfire mitigation and safety tips.

Individuals affected by the fires are urged to start the application process before visiting the centers by calling FEMA's toll-free number at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Hearing and speech-impaired individuals may call 1-800-462-7585 (TTY).
