ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. -- Beginning today, residents of the cruise ship Scotia Prince are being informed that they need to complete their registrations for off-vessel housing immediately. The notifications are being made by flyers and shipboard counseling.

When they register, current ship residents will be given new ID cards which will allow them access to the ship after Tuesday, Feb. 21. This process is vital to ensure that St. Bernard Parish citizens living aboard the ship have confirmed housing arrangements before the ship is vacated March 1.

The Scotia Prince has also provided meals to local residents living off the ship. This service will continue through the evening meal on Feb. 28. These St. Bernard Parish residents have a meal identification card which they can continue to use.
