MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency announced today that the toll-free registration and helpline numbers now have new operating hours.

New Hours: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (CST) seven days a week until further notice.

Individuals can begin the disaster application process by calling the toll-free registration number, 800-621-FEMA (3362) or 800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing- or speech-impaired. Hurricane victims can also register online at www.fema.gov.
