Export Requirements for Nicaragua

Eligible/Ineligible Products
  1. Eligible Products
    1. Poultry and poultry products.*
    2. Boneless beef including tongue, hearts, kidneys and lips derived from animals less than 30 months of age.
    3. Beef livers from animals of any age.
    4. Protein-free tallow.

Documentation Requirements
  1. Poultry and poultry products must be accompanied by FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness. The city and state location of the establishment that produced the poultry or poultry product and the following certification statement must be included in the Remarks section or as an FSIS letterhead certificate:*

    "The meat is derived from birds which have been kept at a farm since they were hatched or for the past 21 days and in which there has been no evidence of notifiable avian influenza (NAI) in the past 21 days."
  2. Boneless beef including tongue, hearts, kidneys and lips derived from animals less than 30 months of age must be accompanied by FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness. The following certification statement must be included in the Remarks section:

    "The certified products were derived from bovine animals less than 30 months of age."
  3. For protein-free tallow. The following certification statement must be included in the "Remarks" section:

    "The protein-free tallow covered by this certificate has been tested for content of insoluble impurities with the results below 0.15% in weight."

    This certification statement will be included on the export certificate based on the presentation of a certificate issued by an independent laboratory report (not belonging to the exporter and/or the manufacturer.)

Plants Eligible to Export

All Federally inspection establishments are eligible to export.
