Export Requirements for Fiji

Eligible/Ineligible Products
  1. Eligible product
    1. Meat and meat products other than beef - Eligibility of other red meat products has not been determined at this time.*
  2. Ineligible product
    1. Fresh/frozen beef and beef products.*
    2. Fresh/frozen poultry is not eligible for export to Fiji. Contact FSIS Technical Service Center at (402) 344-5000 for further information.

Handling/Storage Requirements
  1. Shipping cartons must be made tamper-evident by a method such as tamper proof labeling, straps or tape that is destroyed or visibly altered when the package is opened.

Other Requirements
  1. Shipboard containers must be thoroughly cleaned using a 2% solution of Sodium Hydroxide or a 4% solution of carbonate before loading with product intended for Fiji.
  2. Shipboard containers must be sealed with a USDA seal.

Plants Eligible to Export

All Federally inspected establishments are eligible to export to Fiji.
