NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Special Projects Office

will meet with Northeast Utilities and Sargent and Lundy twice in the upcoming weeks to discuss Millstone Station. Both meetings will be held at the Millstone Training Center in Waterford, Conn. The first, will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 9:00 a.m., to discuss the Millstone Unit 3 recirculation spray system modifications.

At the second meeting, on at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, Sargent and Lundy will update the NRC and NU on the status of the Millstone Units 2 and 3 Independent Corrective Action Verification Program.

By NRC order, NU hired Sargent and Lundy as a contractor to review its program to implement corrective actions in the area of design and configuration control.
