NOTE TO EDITORS:
Two subcommittees of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards will hold a joint technical meeting June 10 in Rockville, Maryland.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Room 2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The meeting of the Subcommittees on Materials and Metallurgy and on Severe Accidents will include a presentation from representatives of the NRC staff and the Nuclear Energy Institute concerning NRC staff approach for addressing steam generator tube integrity issues, and related matters.
Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, are described in a Notice of Meeting published in the May 9 edition of the Federal Register.
