NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will hold two meetings with Northeast Utilities (NU) on Thursday, June 19.

At the first meeting, which begins at 9:00 a.m., the two will discuss the system boundaries for the selected systems for the Millstone Unit 3 Independent Corrective Action Verification Program. This meeting will be held at the Millstone Simulator and Training Facility at the Millstone site in Waterford, Ct.

The NRC staff and NU will discuss NU's final corrective plans, actions, and schedules for resolution of ThermoLag fire barrier issues at Millstone Unit 2. The meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. at NRC Headquarters in Rockville, Md.

Both meetings are open to the public for observation only.
