Lacey, Wash. -- Federal and state officials announce the closing of the Cathlamet (Wahkiakum County) Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 18.

Disaster assistance is still only a toll-free call away. Individuals in designated counties who suffered damage from the flooding December 1-17 can register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired. The lines are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. You can also register online at www.fema.gov.

Anyone with questions about a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan or who needs help with the application should call 1-800-659-2955 for SBA assistance or visit the website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.

Two DRCs remain open: Chehalis (Lewis County) and Aberdeen (Grays Harbor County). Hours of operation will remain Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. DRCs provide residents an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives from state and federal agencies to find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process.
