Dedication Ceremony For The New Western Human Nutrition Research Center

The Western Human Nutrition Research Center (WHNRC) is closer to realizing its goal of a new research facility with the dedication ceremony held August 15, 2006.  Some well known faces attending the ceremony include (from left to right) the Honorable Doug Ose, the Honorable Gale Buchanan, Dr. Toni Betschart, Dr. Dwayne Buxton, Dr. Lindsay Allen, Dr. Charles Hess, the Honorable Sam Farr.  

The location of the new 49,000 square foot building is on the University of California, Davis campus. This location is considered ideal for research collaborations with UC scientists in areas such as agriculture, food science, nutrition, metabolomics and disease prevention.

The new building for the Western Human Nutrition Research Center is now scheduled to be open sometime in November, 2006.
