NRC NAMES NEW SENIOR RESIDENT INSPECTOR
AT NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR PLANT

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials have assigned Gordon Hunegs as the Senior Resident Inspector at the Nine Mile Point nuclear power plant in Scriba, N.Y. He joins Resident Inspector Rick Skokowski at the two-unit site.

Mr. Hunegs joined the NRC's Region II office in Atlanta in 1986 as a project engineer. He has been assigned as the resident inspector at Indian Point 3 in Buchanan, N.Y., and as the senior resident inspector at Indian Point 2 and at the James A. FitzPatrick plant in Scriba.

Prior to joining the agency, Mr. Hunegs served in the United States Navy for seven years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.
