AT TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have announced the assignment of Charles Patterson as the new Senior Resident Inspector at the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant in Homestead, Florida.
Before being assigned to Turkey Point, Patterson worked as the senior resident inspector for four and a half years at Carolina Power and Light's Brunswick Nuclear Station in Southport, North Carolina. Before his Brunswick assignment, he spent the first 10 years of his NRC career as a resident inspector at the Browns Ferry nuclear plant in Alabama, project engineer in the Atlanta regional office, and returned to Browns Ferry as the restart coordinator/senior resident inspector. Patterson joined the NRC in 1983 after 11 years experience with Alabama Power at the Farley Nuclear Plant, Westinghouse - Bettis at the Naval Reactors Facility and U. S. Navy nuclear submarine program. He has a B.S. Degree in Engineering from Idaho State University and a Masters Degree in Administrative Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is a Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.
