How do I post bail?

  • Bring cash, cashier’s check or money order to the reception window at the King County Correctional Facility (KCCF) in Seattle or Regional Justice Center (RJC) in Kent.  Money orders posted after 4:00 PM hours or on the weekends will be verified prior to processing which may result in a delay of the release.

  • Local bail bond agencies, licensed under state law, may post bail or bond from anywhere in the United States.

  • Western Union can electronically transmit bail payment to a check printer in the KCCF or RJC. This service is available 24 hours a day. To post bail through Western Union Quick Collect call 1-800-325-6000 to locate the Western Union agent nearest you.

NOTE: The KCCF and RJC are closed to the public (including bail bond agencies) from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
