| Free, interactive programs allow you and your students to learn more about our home planet and to journey into space using video-conferencing and Web casts. Students of all ages are able to speak directly with NASA personnel including scientists, engineers, astronauts, and education specialists. Placing an emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), the DLN offers a wide variety of distance learning events designed to educate through demonstrations and real time interactions with experts. All programs are aligned to national standards with pre- and post-activities to enhance your video conference and Web cast experiences. 2009 eEducation Showcase Series Begins Sept. 24th Join us again this year for a series of introductions to exciting NASA Education resources. Our series begins on Sept. 24th with a look at new Hubble-related materials. The series will be presented the last Wednesday of each month through May 2009.This year's series is available through WEBCASTS right here on the DLN Web site. NO REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY. Wednesday, September 24 (4-5 PM EST, 3-4 CST, 2-3 MST, 1-2 PST) Hubble Space Telescope With the completion of the recent Shuttle mission to the ISS, the Hubble Servicing Mission 4 (SM4) is now next in line.
