LITTLE ROCK -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) announce the opening tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12, of a Disaster Recovery Center in Van Buren County.

The location of the Van Buren County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will be:

Simmons First National Bank
1783 Highway 65 South
Clinton, Arkansas

The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will serve those affected by the tornadoes of February 5. The hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week until further notice.

A DRC provides residents an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives from state and federal agencies and find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process. To get the most out of a trip to a DRC, including help with questions on individual cases, residents should register for assistance in advance of their visit.

Individuals can register for aid by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired. You can also register online at www.fema.gov. FEMA operators are available 7 a.m. to midnight CST seven days a week, until further notice.

SBA representatives are at all Disaster Recovery Centers to meet individually with each resident or business owner to answer questions about the SBA disaster loan program, help them complete their disaster loan application and accept their completed applications. Anyone not able to visit a center should call 1-800-659-2955 or visit the SBA website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.

FEMA coordinates the Federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terrorism.
