Important Information About Contacting Rep. Doyle
Via the United States Postal Service

Statement from Rep. Doyle Regarding Mail Delivery Update the U.S. Capitol:

"Due to the recent bio-terrorism threats around the country, including Capitol Hill, the House Sergeant At Arms has begun implementing new screening procedures for all mail to all House offices in Washington, D.C. These procedures are very important to keep the Capitol safe, but they will slow the mail flow to my office considerably.

As the mail delivery process begins at the Capitol complex, only first-class envelopes and flats will be delivered. In addition, flats must be less than ¼ inch thick or it will not be delivered. The Sergeant At Arms estimates that it will take approximately seven to 10 business days for mail that you send to be delivered to my Washington office. If the material you are sending me is time-sensitive, it is my suggestion to use one of the following alternatives methods to contact me:

Fax my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-3084
Fax one of my district offices at 412-241-6820 or 412-664-4053
E-mail: rep.doyle@mail.house.gov
E-mail via my website: http://www.house.gov/doyle

If you do not have access to E-mail, the Internet, or Fax, you can call my D.C. office at 202-225-2135 or one of my District offices at 412-241-6055 or 412-664-4049 and discuss your opinions and comments with a staff member.

I thank you all for your patience in this matter and I look forward to hearing from you soon."
