Title: Hurricane Alicia: Galveston and Houston, Texas — August 17-18, 1983 (1984)
Summary
The purposes of this report are to document the storm's characteristics and effects; to call attention to specific characteristics, effects, and storm-related conditions that could be studied further with beneficial results; and to examine the warnings, responses, and recovery occasioned by the storm. The report is based on a four-day survey of the conditions after the storm and on oral and written follow-up.

Hurricane Andrew
Title: Hurricane Andrew Assessment: Review of Hurricane Evacuation Studies Utilization and Information Dissemination (January 1993)
Summary
Before Hurricane Andrew, several hurricane evacuation studies for the lower southeast Florida coast had been done. Since Andrew directly affected areas where previous study data were available, there was an opportunity to find out whether previous information collected was accurate, how well products were utilized from past studies, and what improvements could still be made. This report addresses information on behavioral characteristics of evacuees, shelter issues, transportation clearance times, and evacuation decisions.

Hurricanes Bertha and Fran
Title: Hurricanes Bertha and Fran Assessment: Review of Hurricane Evacuation Studies Utilization and Information Dissemination — Final Report (January 1998)
Summary
The purpose of this post-storm assessment is to evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of hurricane evacuation study data and products which were used during Hurricanes Bertha and Fran evacuations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. This report gives a summary of the events and the general observations and recommendations which resulted from this analysis. Detailed recommendations for each state are provided at the end of each chapter.

Hurricane Camille
Title: Report on Hurricane Camille: 14-22 August 1969 (c. 1970)
Summary
This report covers the meteorological history of Hurricane Camille and its effect on the counties in Mississippi and Alabama that were declared disaster areas. A comprehensive survey was conducted within the areas of tidal inundation to collect data on damages for use in future hurricane protection projects. The data presented in the report have been derived from the most reliable sources of information available at the time.

This report is an assessment of what went wrong with the Hurricane Opal evacuation and why the tools and products developed from past studies were not used. It offers a synopsis of recommendations for improvement in the future and goes into depth on evacuation timing and suggestions about how to promote more appropriate public responses.
