The Congressional High School Art Competition

The Congressional High School Art Competition An Artistic Discovery is an annual event, held in conjunction with the 14th Congressional District's Forum on the Arts, that provides students from the 14th District an excellent opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. The artwork of the First Place winner is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year along with other winners from districts across the nation.

Every spring, an invitation to participate in the competition is extended to the art instructors and principals of all public, private, and religious high schools in the area. Each participating school is permitted to select six (6) entries to be considered at the district-wide competition. Participants of the competition are recognized at the Forum on the Arts.

Any student who is interested in obtaining additional information should contact the Pittsburgh office at 412-261-5091. Students who attend a school that may not participate are not precluded from submitting their artwork for consideration.
