Request for Proposals
Request for proposal (RFP) to support NARUC in implementing the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day Of Utility Service. NARUC intends to undertake a project of public education and consumer and utility awareness that "encourages all Americans to engage in a utility act of service on Dr. King's holiday." Procedures for Implementing The PURPA Standards EISA 2007
The Public Utilities Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA) was recently modified. This manual is intended to be used as an aid to state commissions and utilities as they consider the federal standards that are part of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

 The NARUC-FERC Competitive Procurement Collaborative—co-chaired by FERC Commissioner Marc Spitzer, Commissioner Stan Wise of the Georgia Public Service Commission and Commission Jeff Hatch-Miller of the Arizona Corporation Commission—released a study highlighting the range of issues associated with the competitive procurement of retail electricity supply. The study, made available at the NARUC Summer Committee Meetings, identifies State and utility procurement practices throughout the country that can be deployed to meet ongoing challenges of ensuring cost-effective electric generation.
