Requesting FEMA Briefings for International Delegations

The FEMA Region IX Office periodically provides briefings to international dignitaries and delegations when Region IX staffing resources permit. The Region IX Office can brief on its disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation programs and how they are implemented within the Region IX jurisdictions.

A briefing request must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. The delegation must make a request to the Region IX office six weeks prior to their visit.
  2. The delegation must have an official letter of endorsement from the country’s embassy or consular’s office.
  3. The delegation must submit the names, dates of birth, place of birth and passport numbers of all members the delegation.
