Nathaniel Fogg was appointed Counselor to the Director and Deputy Director for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in October 2006.

Prior to joining FEMA, Mr. Fogg was a consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, where he managed numerous projects for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including providing assistance to the former Homeland Security Operations Center during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, he has experience in developing preparedness plans for Pandemic Influenza and earthquakes.

Mr. Fogg led Booz Allen Hamilton consulting projects in the commercial sector, helping companies develop risk management strategies with a specific focus on building the business processes necessary to support the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk.

Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Fogg was a homeland security policy analyst for the Senate Republican Policy Committee. During his tenure there, he published several policy papers on homeland security related topics, including immigration and grants to first responders.

Mr. Fogg also spent five years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he served as damage control assistant on the USS Cole. He was responsible for training the crew that responded to the terrorist attack on the ship in Aden, Yemen in October 2000.

Mr. Fogg, a native of Washington, D.C., received his Bachelor's degree at Yale University before earning his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
