Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales With Data for 2006
Released: December 14, 2007
Next Update: November 2008
The Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales 2006 report provides information, illustrations and State-level statistical data on end-use sales of kerosene; No.1, No. 2, and No. 4 distillate fuel oil; and residual fuel oil. State-level kerosene sales include volumes for residential, commercial, industrial, farm, and all other uses. State-level distillate sales include volumes for residential, commercial, industrial, oil company, railroad, vessel bunkering, military, electric utility, farm, on-highway, off highway construction, and other uses. State-level residual fuel sales include volumes for commercial, industrial, oil company, vessel bunkering, military, electric utility, and other uses.

Beginning with 2006 data, the Commercial Use No. 2 Distillate category has been changed to reflect the addition of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. This change affects Tables 8 and 20 in the Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales 2006. Beginning 2006, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel and Low Sulfur Diesel data added together will be equivalent to prior years Low Sulfur Diesel.

The Petroleum Division, Office of Oil and Gas, Energy Information Administration ensures the accuracy, quality, and confidentiality of the published data in the Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales 2006.

NOTE: The 2005 adjusted numbers have been revised since they were first published in the Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales 2005. The revisions to the data were made to include new distillate fuel oil and residual fuel oil volumes for "Electric Power" and a new residual product supplied number.
