LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announce the opening Thursday, April 10, of a Disaster Recovery Center in Randolph County.

The location of the Randolph County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will be:
Pocahontas Community Center
205 Geneva Drive
Pocahontas, Arkansas  72455

The DRC will serve those affected by the flooding that occurred in March and April. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday until further notice.

A DRC provides residents an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives from state and federal agencies and to find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process. To get the most out of a trip to a DRC, residents should register for assistance in advance of their visit by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired.

FEMA operators are available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (local time) seven days a week; or you can register online at www.fema.gov.

SBA representatives are at all DRCs to assist individuals and business owners in completing disaster loan applications and to answer questions about the SBA disaster loan program. Anyone not able to visit a center should call 1-800-659-2955 or visit the SBA Web site at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
