Washington, D.C. — The Graduate School, USDA is a vibrant learning community whose mission is to develop people and to make government more efficient and effective. We offer a range of services that includes individual assessments, career-related courses and continuing education. Our experts provide training and education solutions, including conferences, workshops and symposia, for participants from U.S. federal, state and local government agencies as well as the private sector and international organizations.
Our courses, which are open to all students regardless of educational background, enhance professional skills and advance careers. Through a diverse curriculum the Graduate School strives to meet the needs of professionals in both the public and private sectors in all phases of their careers and their lives. We provide scheduled training in nearly a hundred cities throughout the United States and around the world.
Graduate School services extend far beyond classroom education to include distance education delivered in a variety of media and through our new GS Connect platform; organizational development facilitation; coaching and mentoring development; career counseling and conference management. We have the capacity to design, build, manage and deliver any course on-site at the request of organizations, from off-the-shelf programs to fully customized courses in a variety of subjects. The School can custom design leadership development programs that address agencies’ succession planning issues and assist multiple customers in operating their Senior Executive Service candidate development programs. We also offer assistance with organizational development, career center operations and programs and conference management.
We are home to the Government Auditing Training Institute, a top provider of training and educational services to auditors and financial managers in all levels of government. The International Institute, our global arm, designs and delivers training and organization development services for international organizations, foreign governments and the private sector. Our Center for State and Local Government works with state and local leaders to help them achieve their organizational objectives and serve their constituencies.
The Graduate School, USDA is on both GSA Schedule 69 (Training) and Schedule 874 (MOBIS). Government preapproval applies to all training and is a convenient means for customers and clients to contract for our products and services.
We pride ourselves on our history, dedication and commitment to academic excellence. Integral to the mission of our school are values and goals that meet our customers’ needs—public service, quality service, lifelong learning, ethical principles and an entrepreneurial spirit.
