Overview:
Receive a broad review of basic Spanish. Through written exercises, simple text reading, oral drills and beginning-level conversation in Spanish you apply grammatical concepts, everyday vocabulary and common idioms in context. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have a firm basis from which to advance to higher levels. ACE College Credit Recommendation Service reviewed.
Prerequisites:
Recent completion of one year of college Spanish, or equivalent.

Syllabus:

To review basic written and oral Spanish vocabulary, grammatical structures, idioms and culture. To reacquaint students with basic communication skills in the language, and with reading of short newspaper articles.

Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to communicate with basic facility in the language; write short compositions using correct basic grammar and vocabulary; prepare short project presentations; and read with ease short newspaper articles of interest.

Instruction
Major topics covered in the course are readings from the Internet and newspapers, grammar review, vocabulary development, and writing of short compositions.

Methods of instruction include lectures, presentations, group activities, video presentations, quizzes, projects, presentations, participation, homework, and final examination.
