Overview:
Get a strong foundation in the principles of effective budget justification and presentation, focusing on analysis of budget submissions and preparation of narrative descriptions. Upon completion of this course, participants are prepared to use results-based budgeting to justify a program, consistent with the requirements of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA). Be introduced to many effective presentation tips that will help you stay focused and will result in a positive experience.

This course is also part of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Financial Management.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who is involved in justifying or defending requests for budgetary authority. Level: Intermediate.
Prerequisites:
Federal Budget Process (BUDG7103D) or Introduction to Federal Budgeting (BUDG7001D), Budget Formulation (BUDG7101D) and Budget Execution (BUDG7100D), or equivalent experience.
