Dearest -

Right now we're passing thru the widest open spaces I've ever seen - miles & miles of flat land with here & there a lonely tree or a house - corn fields & just stretches of clumps of brush - this is Colorado. We're supposed to have arrived at Denver an hour ago but the train, as usual, is a couple of hours late. When we do reach that city, we expect to have a lay-over for a few hours & perhaps see whatever sights there are. This is strictly not a sightseeing tour.
