Process for Submitting Certification/Recertification Data

If you need assistance, please contact your EPA ECMPS Analysts Contacts for guidance.

GENERAL

Electronic Certification or Recertification data files should include all applicable 100, 500, 600 and 900 level record types. Hardcopy test data should be submitted to the appropriate State/Local Agency and USEPA Regional Office. Except for the certification application form (EPA Form 7610-14) and petitions, please do not send hardcopy reports to EPA Washington, D.C.

Please note that the unit IDs in this submission must be consistent with the unit IDs submitted on the Certificate of Representation by the Designated Representative (DR). Please ensure that the unit IDs match unless you have previously submitted data to the Emission Tracking System (ETS) for another program (i.e. NOx Budget Program). If you have previously submitted to the Emissions Tracking System, and the unit IDs do not match, the unit IDs must not change. If you submit data to the Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration (DOE/EIA) and you determine that the unit IDs are inconsistent with the unit IDs being reported to the DOE/EIA, please resubmit an original, revised Certificate of Representation. If you have any questions regarding the Certificate of Representation and/or proper unit identifications for an Acid Rain source, please contact Laurel DeSantis at (202) 343-9191 or desantis.laurel@epa.gov. For NOx Budget Trading sources which are not Acid Rain affected, please contact Paula Branch at (202) 343-9168 or branch.paula@epa.gov.
