The Cancer Genome Anatomy Project

The goal of the NCI's Cancer Genome Anatomy Project is to determine the gene expression profiles of normal, pre-cancer, and cancer cells, leading eventually to improved detection, diagnosis, and treatment for the patient. The CGAP web site provides researchers with access to all CGAP data and biological resources, such as:

  • Genomic data for human and mouse, including expressed sequence tags (ESTs), gene expression patterns, single nuclear polymorphisms (SNPs), cluster assemblies, and cytogenetic information.
  • Informatics tools to query and analyze the data.
  • Information on methods and resources for reagents developed by the project.
