Slide 14. Percentage of TB Cases Among
Foreign-born Persons, United States, 1997 and 2007. The
percentage range of the total number of TB cases that occurred in
foreign-born persons in each state is high-lighted for 1997 and 2007
in these side-by-side maps. The number of states with at least 50%
of cases in foreign-born persons increased from 14 in 1997 to 28 in
2007. The number of states with at least 70% of cases in
foreign-born persons increased from two (HI and MN) in 1997 to
thirteen (CA, CO, DE, MA, MN,NE, NH, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VA, and WA) in
2007 (not shown on slide).
