ERRATUM
Chapter 20: Rotavirus
On page 301, both the text (3rd pagagraph under "Vaccination
Schedule and Use") and the middle slide state that rotavirus
vaccine should not be administered "on or after age 32 weeks."
This should read "on or after age 33 weeks." In other
words, the vaccine may be administered through the 32nd
week of age. (5/15/07)

Chapter 14: Hepatitis A & Chapter 15: Hepatitis B
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Twinrix®
[Hepatitis A Vaccine (Inactivated) and Hepatitis B (Recombinant)
Vaccine], for an accelerated dosing schedule that consists of three
doses given within three weeks followed by a booster dose at 12
months. The approval means Twinrix is now available on a dosing
schedule at 0, 7, 21-30 days, followed by a booster dose
at 12 months. The vaccine was first approved for adults
over age 18 years by the FDA in May 2001 on a 0, 1, 6-month dosing
schedule.
NOTE: The 4-day grace period for minimum intervals can not
be applied to this schedule. (4/3/07)
