PAF - Patient Advocate Foundation

Patient Advocate Foundation

The mission of the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) is to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment, and preservation of their financial stability.

PAF was established in 1996 and operates as a liaison between patients and employers, insurers, and creditors to resolve insurance, job discrimination, and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through case managers and attorneys.

Partnership Activities

PAF will evaluate the effectiveness of patient education materials. PAF will have case managers who will travel to provide outreach education to targeted populations. One-on-one education and counseling for individuals and Web site links to disease specific resources will also be developed.
