LRF - Lymphoma Research Foundation

Lymphoma Research Foundation

The mission of the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by the disease. LRF was formed in 2001, as a merger of the Lymphoma Foundation and the Lymphoma Research Foundation of America. LRF is the largest lymphoma focused voluntary health organization serving patients, caregivers and healthcare providers.

LRF provides a comprehensive series of programs and services geared to patients and their families which address treatment issues, the latest research advances, and coping with all aspects of the disease, including health insurance and financial questions. Programs and services include: Lymphoma Helpline & Clinical Trials Information Service; Lymphoma Support Network; conferences and symposia; and Patient Aid Grant Program. LRF also offers informational Webcasts featuring leading lymphoma researchers, radio broadcasts, teleconferences, publications, and newsletters.

Partnership Activities

LRF will create lymphoma educational materials appropriate to the culture, language, and reading level of medically underserved minority/immigrant populations and lower literacy English-speaking patients. For example, the LRF's Lymphoma Awareness for Mulitcultural Populations (LAMP) will develop lymphoma materials in English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, and Hatian Creole. LRF will also develop a CD-ROM, an interactive Web site, and downloadable educational materials. LRF will disseminate the information to health care providers, social workers, patient educators, public hospitals, and national and local community-based organizations.
