Welcome

Welcome to the Plant Science Research Unit (PSRU), St. Paul, MN, web site.  The PSRU is part of the Midwest Area of USDA/ARS.  Our research laboratories and offices are located on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota.

The mission of the PSRU is to develop alfalfa, oat, soybean, and wheat germplasm with enhanced quality, value-added characteristics, disease resistance, and biofuels potential.  Our research ranges from the study of plant genomes to nutrient cycling in crop production.  Goals are achieved through the efforts of eight research scientists.
