Half of adults with disabilities are employed, but earn less than the average U.S. worker. Among programs cut or eliminated in the Bush budget: $859 million cut for public housing; $640 million cut in Section 8 reserves; $200 million cut in HOME housing block grants; $422 million cut from CDBG; and $25 million elimination of the Rural Housing and Economic Development.
