NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS |

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) will hold a public meeting Sept. 4-6 in Rockville, Md., to discuss, among other items, the license renewal application and final Safety Evaluation Report for the Wolf Creek Generating Station. In addition, the committee will be briefed on the first revision of Regulatory Guide 1.131: Qualification of Safety-Related Cables and Field Splices for Nuclear Power Plants. The ACRS advises the Commission, independently from the NRC staff, on safety issues related to the licensing and operation of nuclear power plants.
