NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING |

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with Arizona Public Service Co. officials on Sept. 30 to discuss the status of performance improvements at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. APS operates the plant, located 55 miles west of Phoenix, Ariz. The meeting, which will be open to public observation, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Tonopah Valley High School Auditorium, 38201 W. Indian School Road, Tonopah, Ariz. APS officials will present a briefing on the status of performance improvements at Palo Verde. The public will have an opportunity to observe and ask questions of NRC staff before the meeting is adjourned. |
