The South Central Agricultural Laboratory (SCARL) is a partner of and co-located with the Oklahoma State University Wes Watkins Agricultural Research and Extension Center (WWAREC).  Due to the close cooperative nature of the two agencies, we are also known as the "Lane Ag Center" so as to solidify our relationship and to avoid confusion when dealing with our stakeholders.

SCARL has an agreement with Prairie View A & M University, TX and the Texas Landowners Association (primarily minority farmers) to assist them with on-farm demonstration research projects.   SCARL and the USDA-ARS Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center, Booneville, AR cooperate in these efforts.

SCARL transfers research information useful to a wide array of stakeholders including producers, industry, universities, extension, other ARS scientists, and the general public.
