Mission:
The mission of the South Central Agricultural Research Laboratory is to develop technologies and management strategies to improve productivity and economic opportunities for growers of biofuel feedstock and specialty crops. Multidisciplinary research focuses on 1) developing profitable, sustainable, methods for conventional and organic production systems, 2) enhancing and improving germplasm, 3) improving weed control and pest management, 4) determination of the physiological/biochemical mechanisms associated with pre- and postharvest diseases, food quality, safety and shelf life, and 5) development of value added products. The research is conducted in cooperation with the Oklahoma State University-Wes Watkins Research and Extension Center and with the input of our stakeholders.
