Federal Aviation Administration 33rd Annual Aviation Forecast Conference


WASHINGTON, D.C. — The US Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is holding its 33rd Annual Federal Aviation Forecast Conference with the theme of “The Path to Aviation Growth Addressing Congestion and Environmental Challenges.” At the event the agency will release its annual Aerospace Forecast Fiscal Years 2008-2025, which provides the latest and future estimates of activity and growth in aviation products and services.

The first day of the conference will begin at 8:40 a.m. and opening remarks will be made by Acting FAA Administrator Robert Sturgell at 8:45 a.m., followed by discussion panels on “Congestion in the Present and Future Aviation System” and “Environmental Challenges for Aviation.” Secretary Mary E. Peters will address conference participants at 12 noon. At approximately 12:15 p.m., a luncheon will be held with keynote speaker Delta Airlines Chief Executive Officer Richard Anderson. Following the luncheon, panels will be held on “Financial Challenges” and “Market Opportunities.”
