Abstract: The Analysis, Complaints and Evaluations System
contains complaints; information on quick response; analyses and evaluations.
The office also conducts inspections of program activities, organizations and
functions of the Department of Labor, including the Office of Inspector
General. These evaluations, analyses, and inspections are designed to improve
program cost efficiency and effectiveness, management and the overall quality
of services.
Purpose: The Analysis, Complaints and Evaluations
Office summarizes in a report the findings and recommendations resulting from
the evaluation review. The report is viewed as an opportunity for an objective,
skilled and impartial review of program operations which can result in
suggestions for improvement. The implementing of recommendations can lead to
better program operations and resource savings.
Agency Program:
The OIG is an independent, objective entity in the Department of Labor
(DOL) charged with promoting program efficiency, and preventing fraud, waste,
and abuse in the Department's programs and operations. Under the IG Act, the
OIG has direct reporting responsibilities to both the Secretary and the
Congress.
