Abstract: Funds are provided through Stewart B. McKinny Act to
support employment and training programs through grants and contracts. The
funds shall provide for employment and training services and support services
directly or through linkages with other service providers to assist homeless
veterans to re-enter the workforce. Outreach services as necessary will be
performed by former homeless veterans.
Purpose: To fund
activities to enhance services provided to homeless veterans by other providers
of employment and training services funded by Federal, State, local or tribal
governments. Provide outreach and transitional housing assistance, public
information activities to develop and promote maximum job and training or
retraining opportunities for homeless veterans.
Agency Program:
To provide funds for Homeless Veterans programs to expedite the
reintegration of homeless veterans into the labor force.
