King County Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Administrative Board (KCASAAB) meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at Safeco Jackson Street Center located at 306 23rd Avenue S., in Seattle. See meeting schedule (DOC).

Board Recruitment
The King County Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Administrative
Board (KCASAAB) of the Mental Health, Chemical Abuse and Dependency
Services Division is seeking new board members for voluntary positions.
The Division provides chemical dependency prevention and treatment services
to King County’s low-income population. The 15-member board is to
recommend policies and programs to King County in order to ensure the
availability and accessibility of alcohol and substance abuse services,
including prevention, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation. Currently,
KCASAAB has only nine members on board.

The Board must be composed of four (4) recovered alcoholics, four (4) persons with documented interest in and knowledge about problems of substance abuse other than alcoholism, and consumer and minority group representatives. No more than four (4) elected or appointed City or County officials may serve. No employees and board members of agencies which are recipients of State or County alcohol or substance abuse funds.
