Roger Eigenberg invited to present at the Third International Workshop on Smart Sensors in Livestock Monitoring in Leuven, Belgium the paper entitled "Biosensors applied to physiological monitoring".

Tami Brown-Brandl served as Proceedings Co-chair of the 8th ILES in Beijing, China and presented "Heat stress risk factors for feedlot heifers".

Bryan Woodbury chaired the 2005 ASABE Ag Waste Managment Mini-Symposium and presented "Measuring the spatial variability of ammonia emission from feedlot surfaces as identified by electromagnetic induction methods."

Tami Brown-Brandl received the 2005 Tromp Award from ISB as the Outstanding Young Scientist in the Field of Animal Biometeorology at the annual meeting in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

Animal Manure and Waste Management Conference.  Bryan Woodbury and Roger Eigenberg presented respective papers entitled "Development and application of an inexpensive chamber for analysis of VOC's" and "Feedlot soil surveys using electromagnetic induction to locate areas of nutrient buildup - preliminary results" at this international symposium in San Antonio, TX.

Tami Brown-Brandl and John Nienaber received a 2005 "ASAE Superior Paper Award" for their paper entitled "A literature review of swine heat production" at the ASAE annual meeting in Tampa, FL.
