The staff at Anacostia Park issue reservations for the Northfield and River Terrace Picnic Areas.  Non-reserve picnic space is located in Anacostia Park at the Park Nodes Picnic Area and a few tables in Kenilworth Park.  Reservation requests must include the dates and times sought, the contact person’s name, address, and phone number.  For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, all participants must abide by all park rules and regulations.  Moon bounces, helium filled balloons, pony rides, alcoholic beverages, and concessions are all prohibited in the park.

Athletic Field reservations must include the dates and times requested, the name of the sporting organization, and a contact person’s name, phone number, and address.  There are fields available for reservation within Anacostia Park, River Terrace Park and Kenilworth Park.  To reserve a field contact park staff by e-mail, mail, or facsimile with a written request.

Reservation requests are accepted beginning January 1 of each calendar year for the coming season.  Written, facsimile, and e-mail requests are accepted. The tennis courts located in Anacostia Park beside the District of Columbia’s Sports and Fitness Center are scheduled by the D.C. Parks and Recreation Permit Office on (202) 673-7667.
