About Kathy

Kathy's career experience encompasses a wide variety of professional skills, including Strategic and Organizational Planning, Advertising, Marketing, Business Law and Communications, Mediation, and Financial Accounting.

A cum laude graduate with a BA in education, Kathy began her career as an Elementary School teacher. She served as the Director of Education for a Nutrition Education Program where she developed and marketed teacher training seminars to School Districts.

Later as the Director of Marketing and Tourism for an Environmental Education Center, Kathy honed her skills in public relations and economic development. Kathy has also served as an Adjunct Professor teaching NY State teacher certification classes at Medaille College, as well as an instructor for business and computer courses at Bryant & Stratton.

Concurrent to her teaching career, Kathy ran her own Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations business, Marketing Concepts of Buffalo, that managed large company accounts in several U.S. cities.

Presently, Kathy is the CEO of the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, Kathy is the Chair-elect for the Western New York Chamber Alliance, a group of 29 Western New York Chamber Executives. She has served as a Marketing Coordinator for the Senior Citizens Housing Commission, and as a public relations consultant for the EOS Good Government Club and various charitable organizations.

Kathy has been married for 26 years, and has a 21-year old daughter. As a wife, mother, and former school teacher, Kathy intuitively understands the importance of education and family values.
