Reclamation to Host Public Hearings on Windy Gap Firming Draft EIS
Next week, the Bureau of Reclamation will host two public hearings as part of its public comment process on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Windy Gap Firming Project:

  • October 7, 7 pm, McKee Conference Center, 2000 Boise Avenue, Loveland, CO
  • October 9, 7 pm, Inn at Silver Creek, 62927 US Highway 40, Granby, CO

Each public hearing will be preceded by a public open house. In Loveland, the open house will begin at 6 p.m. In Granby the open house will begin at 5 p.m. The purpose of the open house is to present the Draft EIS and provide answers to related questions the public might have.

The purpose of the hearings is to collect public comment on the Draft EIS. Written comments may be submitted at any time during the public open house and hearing. Comments may also be submitted orally during the public hearing.

All comments should be received by Reclamation no later than Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Those who wish to submit comments outside of the public meetings may do so by mail, fax or e-mail. Please address comments to the attention of Will Tully at:
