The Town of Newstead is constantly changing and growing. In an effort to maintain our rural atmosphere, there are procedures for applicants to follow that will allow the Town to best guide any new development in the direction the Comprehensive Master Plan, The Town Board and the Residents of Newstead desire.
There are various steps, depending on the size and type of project, before an applicant receives final approval. Each individual board is responsible for a portion of the overall process. By clicking on the following links, you can view the proposed projects being presented to each board. Due to the numerous steps involved, it is impossible to keep the status of each project updated on this website, but if you are interested in more details of any one project, you can read the official minutes or you can contact the building department for an update.
