The Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) is a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to protecting public health and the environment from pesticide risks and to promoting a safer means of pest control. Here are a few ways we work to protect human health and the evironment:
- We regulate the use of all pesticides in the United States.
- We ensue that Americans are not exposed to unsafe levels of pesticides in food and are protected from unreasonable risk.
- We educate those who use or are exposed to pesticides.
- We protect the environment and special ecosystems from potential risks posed by pesticides.
