Air Operating Permit Programs

Title V (pronounced title five) of the Clean Air Act requires States to develop programs to issue operating permits to sources of air pollution.

Region 7 has six title V permitting authorities in the Region consisting of each state and two local agencies in Nebraska. Below is a list of the permitting authorities in Region 7.

In Nebraska there are three title V permitting authorities. Note that the agencies above have not been approved to issue permits in Indian country. Therefore, EPA will administer the program within Indian country.

Title V Petition Database

We have also developed a database of title V petitions received by EPA and EPA's responses to these petitions.
